FASHION SENSE: CHECK!

A night devoted to fashion, glamour and style: T.O…OBVIOUSLY YOU BROUGHT IT!

Not very often can a small venue be filled with so much energy, but on Thursday, November 25th, I was definitely feeling the vibe. The lovely Miss Niya showcased her talent to a lot of spectators, and in a city where fashion depicts who you are; it was obvious that the “The Bloke Society” would triumph.

Courtesy of Dorly Designs (located on 1173 Queen St E), elegant chandeliers, sleek ambiance, delicious hors d’oeuvres (courtesy of Steve Medeiros), and of course a couple glasses of the world’s first vodka ice-wine (finely created by Vice), the launch was nonetheless a success. DJ Andre 905 played the beats, adding a pretty cool, old school type of feel. The room became warm, and as the minutes passed, more and more fashion focused minds filled the space.

Bloggers, photographers, and of course WhatsGoodToronto.com kicked back, with wine in hand and digested what “The Bloke Society” was, and why us men should wear it. I’ve never been to a male accessory launch, but by the time the night came to an end, plenty of fashionistos couldn’t help but purchase some of Miss Niya’s creations. Cuff links, wallets, and jewellery were showcased, and us men couldn’t help but take a liking to them.

One of the better parts of the night was the lovely models showcasing the latest accessory line. Black pantyhose, high-heels, and a mens dress shirt is what coated these beauties, and I’m not going to lie…I definitely took more than a second look at them. Authentic Famosity & HeyDoYou hit the nail on the head, in terms of making the accessories stand out. As I socially wandered around, analyzing the night’s events, it was hard to figure out if the men were purchasing the line because of its extraordinary taste, or because of the beautiful girls showing it off. (I like to think of it as both!)

It was a pleasure teaming up with the talented ladies of Authentic Famosity & HeyDoYou. It is not very often that you find proper people in the industry, and when you accept the chance to work as a team, the possibilities surely do become endless. Plenty of smiles went around, a few cards were exchanged, and of course tons of poses were captured, and by the end of the night we were ready for some shuteye! I’ll tell you this though; you never know what to expect when attending an event like this, and usually we have some sort of pictured idea of what the night will entail. Although, my estimate was a little off, I was quite impressed with how everything pieced together.

Shout-out to the above, for bringing your A-game to the table. Different is important, and that was delivered Thursday night!
